Sudharani Jena, an eminent Odia-language actress, was born on 6 February 1942. She ventured into the Odia film industry with her debut in "Parinam" in 1961, directed by Biswanath Nayak. Despite a brief hiatus, she returned to the spotlight in 1976 with "Gapa Hele Bi Sata," portraying memorable maternal roles.
Prior to her acting career, Jena pursued gynecology, showcasing her diverse talents. Her innate acting abilities garnered recognition during her medical college days, where she consistently earned acclaim for her performances in college dramas.
